WiFI - Why to use diferent radio profiles in different locations
Hi, in this post I'm going to tell you why it's importat to configure different radio profiles for different locations or sites. Since every type of location is different they have different WiFi requeriments and we have to assign different values to the WiFi configurations parameters so we can comply with those requeriments. For example Common location types but not limited to these: Warehouses Big open spaces Racks storing different material types Offices Very segmented spaces using different types of materials Distribution Centers Big open spaces Racs storing different material types Pick up areas (to collect different things) Truck Load ereas Theses location types have different obstructions, attenuation areas, client density, etc. In radio profiles, and depeneds on how to do it within each vendor, we should be able to assign the min and mx EIRP, min and max channel width and the PHYs we want to enable.
